Procurement Executive

About the role

The Procurement Executive manages the end-to-end procurement process in line with project requirements, business objectives and cost-saving initiatives. The role covers market research, supplier prequalification, sourcing strategy, RFQs, bid evaluation, negotiations, value engineering, compliance, risk management, purchase orders, vendor performance monitoring and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement strategies aligned with business goals and cost-saving initiatives.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and industry trends.
• Evaluate vendor pre-qualification and negotiate on technical specifications and commercial terms.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage procurement risks; generate procurement reports for performance analysis.
• Create sourcing plans and finalize goods and services according to project contract specifications.
• Develop the list of goods and services needed for each project, including timelines and delivery lead times.
• Issue RFQs to qualified vendors with project specifications, drawings, schematics, scope of work and LOI terms, ensuring all suppliers receive identical information.
• Analyze the possibility of Value Engineering items to save costs, obtain quotes within the stipulated period and evaluate bids against policy.
• Coordinate with the project team and design department on technical evaluations.
• Process purchase orders, close open orders periodically and manage vendor blocklisting.
• Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, from requisition to order release, including material submittal.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree; Facilities Management, Engineering, Management or a related discipline preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in a relevant procurement category of engineering.
