Procurement Executive – Local Purchasing & Import Operations

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Procurement Executive to lead local purchasing activities and manage end‑to‑end import operations in the UAE. The role demands strong coordination, meticulous documentation handling, and deep knowledge of UAE import regulations to ensure a reliable and compliant supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day local procurement, including sourcing, issuing purchase orders and supplier follow‑up.
• Negotiate pricing, quality and delivery terms with local suppliers.
• Review and validate import documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, health certificates and certificates of origin.
• Handle product registration and approvals through Dubai Municipality systems (FIRS, Montaji/ZDLM).
• Coordinate freight forwarders on shipment planning, documentation and delivery schedules.
• Oversee customs clearance via Dubai Customs (Mirsal 2) and ensure timely release of shipments.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities (Dubai Municipality, MOCCAE) for permits, inspections and compliance.
• Track shipments end‑to‑end and resolve operational or documentation issues.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, imports and supplier performance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement and import operations.
• Strong knowledge of UAE import procedures and systems (FIRS, Montaji/ZDLM, Mirsal 2).
• Experience with food or meat imports is a strong advantage.
• Proven negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
