Procurement Manager – Construction (7+ yrs experience)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the end‑to‑end procurement function for our construction projects. You will be responsible for sourcing materials, equipment and services, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality, on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project budgets and timelines.
• Manage the full procurement cycle from supplier evaluation to purchase orders and delivery.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers, subcontractors and service providers.
• Review BOQs, specifications and drawings to create accurate procurement plans.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, tender documents, bid comparisons and commercial evaluations.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties and contractual conditions.
• Monitor procurement schedules to ensure materials arrive as required.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Finance, Stores and Site teams.
• Track purchase orders, deliveries and supplier commitments.
• Monitor market trends, material prices and supply‑chain risks.
• Identify cost‑saving and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, budgets and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate supplier performance and resolve disputes or quality issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction, contracting or real‑estate development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, subcontracting and supplier markets.
• Proven experience in procurement planning, tendering, supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
