Procurement Officer

About the role

Burjline Builders, a construction company offering residential, commercial and industrial construction, project management, design and planning and renovation services, is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Procurement Officer in Sharjah. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of procurement experience in the construction, contracting or engineering industry; experience in wastewater treatment (WWTP/STP/WTP) is a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, obtain quotations and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
• Coordinate with project, engineering and warehouse teams on material requirements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance, track deliveries and resolve supply delays or discrepancies.
• Ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases and documentation, and process transactions in Tally ERP.
• Assist in inventory monitoring and stock replenishment, identify cost-saving opportunities and support procurement reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of procurement experience in construction, contracting or engineering.
• Experience in wastewater treatment projects is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with local UAE suppliers and procurement practices is an advantage.
