Procurement Officer - Mechanical Equipment

About the role

Shivatrade Impex Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer (Mechanical) in Dubai to manage end-to-end procurement of mechanical equipment, MEP systems and industrial materials for EPC, construction and infrastructure projects. The role covers domestic and international sourcing, supplier negotiations and import/export operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of mechanical, MEP and industrial equipment for EPC projects.
• Handle domestic and international sourcing, including import and export operations.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers and negotiate prices and commercial terms.
• Manage RFQs, vendor quotations, purchase orders, delivery schedules and supplier relationships.
• Procure equipment for industrial facilities, factory installations, construction and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, logistics and finance teams for timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, project requirements and company procurement policies.
• Monitor supplier performance, procurement costs, delivery timelines and material availability.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8-15 years of relevant experience in mechanical procurement.
• Strong experience in MEP procurement and EPC projects.
• Hands-on experience in international sourcing, import/export procedures and procurement documentation.
• Experience procuring equipment for industrial, factory installation, construction and infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of chillers, pumps, firefighting systems, steel structures, valves, cranes and process equipment.
• Combined civil and mechanical procurement experience preferred; UAE experience is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Purchase order, requisition, invoice matching and procurement documentation.
• Supplier communication, follow-up and basic negotiation.
• Spreadsheet and office software for tracking orders, prices and supplier records.
• Data entry accuracy, document management and audit trails.
• Planning, prioritization and risk identification in sourcing.
