Procurement Officer (UAE National)

About the role

Tawazon Chemical Co. LLC, a multinational organization operating for over three decades with its head office in Dubai and subsidiaries across Africa, the Middle East, the Subcontinent and South East Asia, is looking for a Procurement Officer (UAE National) in the Coating 1 - Sales department. The role covers sourcing suppliers, obtaining competitive quotations, negotiating prices and payment terms, and ensuring timely procurement of materials, products and services in line with company requirements, with a focus on cost optimization, supplier relationship management, quality assurance and compliance with procurement procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers to meet the company's procurement needs.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial conditions.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in line with approved requisitions and company policies.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and delivery timelines.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor purchase orders, pending deliveries and outstanding supplier commitments.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
