Procurement Specialist – Inflight Catering

About the role
The Procurement Specialist for Inflight & Catering will manage the full procurement lifecycle for inflight catering services and related operational support across the airline network. This role ensures cost efficiency, service quality, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted availability of catering products for passengers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end procurement activities including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, award, implementation and contract management for inflight catering and related services.
- Support new route launches and network expansions by sourcing appropriate catering solutions within required timelines.
- Prepare and issue contracts, purchase orders and award documentation accurately and on time.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, SLAs, rebates, penalties and KPIs to achieve best value.
- Drive continuous improvement with suppliers to enhance service quality, food presentation, sustainability and passenger experience.
- Maintain strong supplier relationship management practices and ensure contract compliance.
- Develop contingency and backup supplier strategies to minimise operational risk.
- Coordinate business reviews with caterers, monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
- Guide the procurement team in commercial and financial evaluations, spend analysis, budgeting, cost modelling and financial reporting.
- Identify and implement cost‑optimization opportunities while maintaining product and service standards.
