Procurement Specialist – Pharmaceutical Materials

About the role

Julphar is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage purchase orders and supplier relationships for pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products. The role ensures that all purchased items meet quality specifications, are delivered on time, and align with the company’s cost and compliance objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Create and validate purchase orders for raw materials and finished products according to the approved vendor list.
• Negotiate terms, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor day‑to‑day purchase requisitions and deliveries across the department.
• Handle discrepancies, resolve supply issues, and manage vendor payments.
• Prepare procurement KPI reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accountability and ownership of all procurement activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science.
• Minimum 5 years of supply chain or procurement experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Open to process changes and continuous learning.
• Procurement or supply‑chain certification is a plus.
