Procurement Specialist – Strategic Sourcing (UAE)

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for a leading Dubai‑based organization. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, category management and delivering cost‑effective solutions while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle from sourcing and supplier evaluation to negotiation and contract award.
• Support category management and strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with business needs.
• Conduct spend analysis, market research, benchmarking and supplier assessments to uncover savings opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead sourcing projects, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations and negotiations.
• Monitor supplier performance, commercial terms, service levels and contractual compliance.
• Identify and implement cost‑optimisation and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures and governance.
• Prepare procurement reports, analyses and recommendations for management.
• Collaborate with business functions to understand requirements and deliver effective procurement solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably with strategic sourcing and category management exposure.
• Experience in indirect procurement or professional services categories is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contract management and procurement processes.
• Proven ability in spend analysis, market intelligence, benchmarking and cost optimisation.
• Excellent supplier relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple procurement projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS) is an advantage.
• UAE experience and immediate availability are preferred.
