Procurement Supervisor

About the role

Stena Drilling is hiring a Procurement Supervisor on a full-time basis. The role supervises day-to-day procurement and purchasing activities so that goods and services are delivered on time and accurately, and supports supplier management and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily procurement and purchasing to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
• Support the sourcing, evaluation and selection of suppliers in line with business requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, pricing, quality, delivery and service levels, and build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Organise periodic supplier seminars covering local content legislation, regional regulations, company procedures and ethical sourcing, and promote continuous improvement.
• Keep purchase orders, approvals, documentation and procurement records accurate and compliant.
• Support contract management, negotiations and supplier review meetings where needed.
• Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities and help resolve delivery issues, invoice discrepancies and supplier concerns.
• Guide team members, produce reports and updates, and promote compliance with procurement policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Ideally previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or a similar role.
• Experience supervising or supporting others, and strong supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commercial awareness, negotiation and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines; good communicator and problem solver.
• Industry-standard offshore certification held or obtainable.
• CIPS qualification or progress towards it is advantageous.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of procurement systems, ERP systems or purchasing platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Understanding of procurement policies, compliance requirements and best practice.
