Product Design Director APAC & ME (12 Month Contract)

About the role

IG Group, a publicly‑traded FTSE250 FinTech company, is seeking a Product Design Director for the APAC & ME region on a 12‑month contract. You will lead the design team, shape the end‑to‑end design process and help expand the user base across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full design lifecycle from ideation to implementation, covering UX, UI and prototyping.
• Build and maintain a scalable Design System applied across several countries.
• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate design concepts based on user research.
• Incorporate findings from user testing and research into design improvements.
• Communicate design vision clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, developers and other designers to ensure efficient delivery.
• Lead and mentor a geographically dispersed team of designers.
• Demonstrate expertise in design systems to refine the overall design language.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in product design or related fields.
• Proven experience leading design teams across multiple markets.
• Strong background in creating and managing design systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to inspire cross‑functional teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, autonomous environment.
