Product Planning Specialist

About the role

Changan Automobile, a leading Chinese automotive manufacturer with a global presence, is hiring a Product Planning Specialist in Dubai. The role covers market research, product strategy, roadmap planning and collaboration with R&D, marketing and sales to bring new products to market.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and analyse industry trends to identify customer needs and preferences.
• Develop and implement product planning strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing and sales to define product specifications and features.
• Monitor the product lifecycle and recommend improvements or updates.
• Prepare detailed product roadmaps and timelines for timely delivery of new products.
• Evaluate competitor products and market positioning to find differentiation opportunities.
• Provide input on pricing strategies and product positioning.
• Support the development of marketing materials and campaigns for new products.
• Track and report product performance metrics such as sales, customer feedback and market share.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in product development and planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in product planning, product management or a related role in the automotive industry.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other languages is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills and project management skills, able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in product management tools and software.
• Knowledge of automotive industry standards, regulations and emerging technologies.
• Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
