Production In-charge

About the role

The Production In-charge will plan, supervise and control daily production activities of the Joinery Division, ensuring output meets project schedules, quality standards and cost targets while optimizing manpower, machinery and material usage.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and organise daily/weekly production schedules across all joinery sub‑departments (CNC, Cutting, Machining, Assembly, Finishing, Upholstery, Installation) in line with project timelines.
• Monitor progress against the master schedule, allocate resources efficiently and escalate delays or constraints to the Production Manager.
• Supervise line supervisors and carpenters to ensure compliance with shop drawings, cutting lists and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with QC for in‑process and final inspections and with Store/Procurement to secure timely material availability.
• Enforce health, safety and 5S standards, monitor equipment condition and liaise with Maintenance to avoid disruptions.
• Track manpower attendance, productivity and wastage; prepare production and performance reports for management.
• Identify skill gaps, support training initiatives and drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle time, waste and rework.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, Interior Fit‑Out or related field; trade certifications in joinery/carpentry are a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in joinery/furniture/interior fit‑out production, with 5‑8 years in a supervisory or in‑charge capacity.
• Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes, materials and machinery (CNC, edge banding, panel saws, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, cutting lists and technical specifications.
• Experience in a UAE manufacturing/fit‑out environment is preferred.
