Production Manager – Quarry Operations

About the role

The Production Manager will lead the quarry’s Production Department, supervising daily operations, manpower, equipment and maintenance activities. The role ensures that production targets are met in line with the annual budget while maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, equipment reliability, cost control and workplace safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all production operations, plants, manpower and daily activities.
• Plan and achieve production targets aligned with budget and sales requirements.
• Ensure finished products meet required quality standards.
• Oversee machinery, fleet, facility and air‑conditioning maintenance.
• Plan preventive maintenance and coordinate breakdown repairs with the workshop.
• Minimize downtime by ensuring optimum equipment performance.
• Coordinate with Sales, Crusher, Purchase, Stores and Workshop for smooth operations.
• Forecast and arrange spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Prepare production and maintenance reports for the General Manager.
• Prepare and monitor the annual Production Department budget.
• Monitor performance of Production Engineers, Supervisors and Operators.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production or plant management.
• Strong knowledge of production machinery and maintenance processes.
• Proven leadership, planning, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capability to manage manpower, budgets, production targets and maintenance activities.
