Production Planning Officer - Aircraft Engine (Engine shop/ Powerplant)

About the role

The Production Planning Officer will own the end‑to‑end planning cycle for aircraft engine repair and overhaul in a busy engine shop. You will translate OEM work‑scopes into executable work‑packs, manage daily work‑in‑progress, and ensure on‑time delivery while meeting regulatory and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily/weekly engine‑level production plans, sequencing work orders to meet turnaround targets.
• Create and customise engine work packs and task cards based on OEM data, AD/SB/EO and Part‑145 requirements.
• Identify and preload all required tools, GSE, fixtures and consumables; coordinate material reservations with Supply Chain.
• Estimate man‑hours per module, monitor capacity versus load, and track labour burn against the plan.
• Publish daily progress reports, run stand‑up meetings and flag risks with recovery actions.
• Ensure full compliance with Part‑145, OEM and airworthiness regulations; support audits and documentation closure.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft engine production planning or a similar MRO environment.
• Strong knowledge of Part‑145, OEM engine data (CFM, GE, PW, RR) and airworthiness directives.
• Proven ability to manage complex schedules, material readiness and manpower capacity.
