Production / Workshop Manager – Event Management

About the role

The Production/Workshop Manager will lead daily workshop operations for exhibition stands, booths, stages and other event structures. You will coordinate teams of carpenters, welders, painters and technicians to deliver high‑quality installations on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage workshop schedules, fabrication processes and inventory for multiple event projects.
• Supervise skilled and unskilled labour, control attendance, overtime and liaise with manpower suppliers.
• Prepare quotations, BOQs and cost estimates; negotiate supplier rates and monitor project budgets.
• Arrange logistics, transportation, loading/unloading and storage of materials before, during and after events.
• Review project briefs, technical drawings, floor plans and 3D designs to plan production timelines and manpower needs.
• Source materials, negotiate with suppliers, track purchase orders and ensure material quality.
• Oversee on‑site installation and dismantling, coordinate site access, permits and final quality checks.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain production quality standards.
• Report progress, labour usage, material consumption and budget variations to management.
