Program Chair (Finance)

About the role

The University seeks a senior academic leader to head its Finance programme. The Program Chair will provide strategic direction, ensure high‑quality teaching, drive research excellence, and support accreditation and student outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Teaching & Academic Delivery: Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate Finance courses (e.g., Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Financial Markets, Risk Management), supervise projects, dissertations and employ modern digital learning platforms.
• Research & Publications: Conduct high‑impact research, publish in peer‑reviewed indexed journals, secure research grants and present findings at international conferences.
• Curriculum Development: Design, review and update course materials in line with industry trends and accreditation standards (AACSB, ACBSP, MOE).
• Academic Leadership: Mentor junior faculty, participate in departmental planning, committees and policy development, and contribute to academic governance.
• Student Engagement & Support: Provide academic advising, career guidance, and support employability initiatives, internships and industry linkages.
• Institutional Service: Actively engage in university committees, community outreach, and accreditation compliance activities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field, meeting UAE Ministry of Education requirements.
• 10–15 years of academic experience, with at least 5 years at senior rank (Associate Professor/Professor).
• Demonstrated record of teaching excellence, research publications in indexed journals and success in obtaining research funding.
• Experience with accreditation processes and curriculum design in higher education.
