Project Coordination Engineer (UAE National)

About the role

A project coordination engineer with a mechanical engineering background is sought, with experience in project coordination, tendering, technical office activities and project documentation. The role works with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams on mechanical/MEP projects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical project activities from tendering through execution.
• Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, equipment schedules, technical specifications, BOQs, tender and RFQ documents.
• Prepare and coordinate technical submittals, material submittals, compliance statements, deviation sheets, technical proposals and method statements.
• Follow up on technical approvals, submissions, comments and project requirements.
• Support tendering, estimation and technical proposal preparation.
• Maintain project documentation, trackers and submission records.
• Assist with technical clarifications and help prepare and update mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical projects, tendering, technical office or project coordination.
• Experience in MEP, HVAC, piping, water treatment, cooling systems or data centre projects is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination and documentation skills, and ability to manage multiple project requirements and deadlines.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, BOQs and technical specifications.
• Hands-on experience preparing technical and material submittals.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit / BIM is an advantage.
