Project Design Engineer – Electrical O&G

About the role

Siemens is seeking an experienced Project Design Engineer to lead the electrical design execution of a major oil & gas project in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with internal teams and the customer to ensure design quality and schedule adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project technical information and obtain necessary clarifications.
• Prepare electrical designs following Siemens engineering standards.
• Control and influence the engineering schedule for design deliverables.
• Review, coordinate and approve vendor engineering documents.
• Process internal and external design change requests during project execution.
• Maintain constant communication with the Engineering Manager on pending issues and design status.
• Participate in vendor, customer and factory meetings, design reviews, inspections and site visits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (local or international).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in medium and low voltage power distribution design.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Team player with initiative and result‑driven attitude.
