Project Director – API Towers, Dubai

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the full lifecycle of the API Towers project in Dubai. The role will be the senior point of accountability for delivery, client satisfaction, budget performance, and team leadership, working directly with the client and all project stakeholders from design through handover.

Key responsibilities

• Define project vision, objectives and strategic direction aligned with client goals; develop and approve the project charter and governance framework.
• Act as primary liaison between client, contractors, consultants and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and conflict resolution.
• Develop, monitor and control the project budget; review cost breakdowns and provide reports and recommendations.
• Oversee procurement of materials and services, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery.
• Monitor design progress, chair weekly progress meetings, manage tendering, procurement and construction supervision including inspection regimes and NCR resolution.
• Lead snagging, commissioning, handover activities and ensure delivery of O&M manuals and documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation plans, define quality standards and ensure compliance with UAE regulations, building codes and HSE policies.
• Assemble, mentor and lead the project management team; conduct post‑project evaluations and promote sustainable and innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Proven track record as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager on high‑profile construction programmes.
• Experience managing the full project lifecycle from design to handover in the UAE or similar markets.
• Strong client‑facing skills with ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and resolve conflicts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets and procurement processes.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE regulations, building codes and HSE standards.
