Project Director – Construction

About the role

The Project Director will partner with the Operations Director to lead, coordinate and oversee large‑scale civil construction projects across the UAE. This senior position is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and guide all site activities in collaboration with the Project Management Team (PMT) to achieve project objectives.
• Provide strategic advice to PMT managers, resolve challenges, and ensure smooth execution.
• Assess project KPIs, allocate resources, and adjust staffing to maintain progress.
• Prepare and present monthly status reports to the Operations Director.
• Manage change orders, secure client approvals, and ensure compliance with UAE federal laws.
• Oversee financial performance, report corrective actions, and develop recovery plans when needed.
• Maintain regular client communication and ensure proper project close‑out documentation.
• Enforce safety, quality and risk management standards, supporting the HSE Management System.
• Lead onboarding, induction and development of project teams to foster high performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable institution.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in civil construction, particularly industrial projects.
• Proven track record of leading large, complex projects in the UAE.
