Project Engineer – Fitout

About the role

The Project Engineer – Fitout will lead the execution and supervision of interior fit‑out projects, ensuring that works are delivered on time, to quality standards and in line with design intent. You will act as the technical bridge between design, procurement and site teams, coordinating daily activities and resolving on‑site issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily site activities for interior fit‑out works, supervising subcontractors, foremen and labour teams.
• Coordinate technical information between Design, BIM, Procurement and Site, reviewing shop drawings and raising RFIs.
• Prepare look‑ahead programmes, daily/weekly work plans and track project milestones.
• Monitor material deliveries, verify compliance with submittals and support urgent procurement needs.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance, coordinate inspections, close punch‑lists and manage snagging.
• Enforce HSE regulations, participate in safety inspections and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain daily site reports, progress updates and documentation of drawings and revisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–7 years of experience in interior fit‑out, construction or related industries.
• Proven experience supervising subcontractors and managing site execution.
• Fluent English; Hindi or Arabic a plus.
• Valid driving licence preferred and willingness to travel.
• Site HSE training required; NEBOSH/IOSH certification advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with MS Project and the MS Office suite.
• Familiarity with document control platforms such as Aconex or BIW.
• Basic knowledge of BIM tools (Navisworks, Revit) is an advantage.
• Understanding of shop drawings, RFIs, method statements and material submittals.
• Knowledge of QA/QC inspection procedures and punch‑list management.
• Awareness of HSE regulations and safe working practices.
