Project Engineer - High-Rise, Residential & Villa Projects

About the role

A leading contracting company in Dubai, UAE, is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination and execution of construction projects, including high-rise buildings, residential and villa projects. The role sits alongside the Project Manager and covers site operations, technical coordination and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing construction activities.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, site teams and suppliers to keep project progress on track.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documents for compliance.
• Monitor site activities so work follows approved drawings and quality standards.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate material approvals, inspections and technical submissions.
• Resolve site technical issues and provide engineering support.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality requirements.
• Monitor project schedules and support timely completion of milestones.
• Coordinate with MEP, civil and other disciplines.
• Support testing, commissioning and project handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in construction projects.
• Experience in high-rise, residential and villa projects is preferred.
• Experience working with contracting companies in the UAE is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage site activities and work under project deadlines.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings and site coordination.
• Technical coordination across MEP, civil and other disciplines.
