Project Engineer - MEP

About the role

We are looking for a competent and detail‑oriented Project Engineer – MEP to lead the mechanical, electrical and plumbing works on a major bridge construction project in Dubai. You will ensure that all MEP systems are designed, installed and commissioned in line with project specifications, RTA standards and UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and coordinate all MEP activities, including lighting, power supply, drainage pumps, fire protection and utilities.
• Review and verify design drawings, shop drawings and material submittals for compliance with specifications and authority standards.
• Supervise on‑site MEP installations, conduct inspections and enforce quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with civil and structural teams to integrate MEP systems seamlessly.
• Liaise with RTA, DEWA, Civil Defence and other authorities to obtain approvals, inspections and handovers.
• Monitor subcontractor progress, perform technical evaluations and ensure adherence to schedule and budget.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and interface conflicts on‑site.
• Prepare progress, non‑conformance and inspection reports for internal and client review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10–12 years of MEP execution experience, with at least 3 years on bridge or infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of RTA, DEWA and Civil Defence regulations.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit (MEP).
• Experience with other MEP engineering software.
