Project Engineer – Projects Department

About the role

The Project Engineer will support and execute engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from concept and FEED through detailed design, construction, commissioning and hand‑over. The role ensures delivery aligns with safety, quality, schedule, cost and Value Assurance Process requirements while coordinating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering and execution support for all project phases, from concept to commissioning.
• Develop Statements of Requirements and contribute to execution strategies.
• Assist in tender preparation, evaluate consultants, PMC and EPC contractors.
• Review contractor deliverables, construction strategies and ensure compliance with scope and specifications.
• Monitor engineering, procurement and construction progress, identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
• Facilitate value engineering, constructability reviews and risk analysis (PHSER, ATR).
• Coordinate with licensors, contractors, vendors and internal teams; participate in project meetings and technical reviews.
• Track contractor performance, invoices, claims and project variations in collaboration with cost teams.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, safety and quality standards throughout execution.
• Maintain project documentation, prepare progress reports and support hand‑over to Operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of project engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary project execution and monitor contractor performance.
• Strong risk identification and mitigation skills.
• Effective collaboration with engineering, project and operations teams.
