Project Engineer – Technical Projects (Habshan & Bab)

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to support and execute technical project activities across the full lifecycle – from concept and FEED through detailed engineering, construction, commissioning and hand‑over. The role works closely with engineering disciplines, central engineering, licensors, contractors, vendors and operations to ensure safe, on‑time, on‑budget delivery in line with ADNOC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering and execution support for all project phases, from concept to commissioning and hand‑over.
• Develop Statements of Requirements and project execution strategies.
• Assist in preparing tender documents and evaluating engineering consultants, PMC and EPC contractors.
• Review contractor deliverables, construction strategies and methodologies for compliance with scope and specifications.
• Monitor engineering, procurement and construction progress, identify bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.
• Support value‑engineering, constructability reviews and technical workshops.
• Coordinate with licensors, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders; participate in project meetings and technical reviews.
• Track contractor performance, invoices, claims and project variations; work with cost teams on risk, schedule and cost impacts.
• Facilitate risk analysis, PHSER and ATR reviews; ensure HSE, quality and engineering standards are met.
• Manage pre‑commissioning, commissioning activities and hand‑over to Operations, including punch‑list closure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of project engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary project execution and monitor contractor performance.
• Strong capability to identify engineering and execution risks proactively.
• Experience ensuring technical compliance and quality assurance.
