Project Engineer - Technical Service

About the role

The Project Engineer plans, coordinates and manages building maintenance projects so that operations run efficiently and service quality stays high. The role covers project schedules, budgets and on-site teams, and works with clients and internal teams to give technical support and solve issues during project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans covering scope, timelines, resources and budget, and schedule preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance tasks.
• Conduct site inspections to check that milestones and quality standards are met.
• Provide technical support to maintenance teams and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other building system issues; review technical drawings and specifications.
• Suggest upgrades and modifications to building systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Prepare project budgets, negotiate vendor and supplier contracts, and monitor procurement and inventory of supplies, tools and equipment.
• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, subcontractors and vendors on site, assign tasks, ensure safety protocols are followed, and handle performance evaluations and training.
• Ensure work complies with safety regulations and company standards, carry out quality checks and audits, and keep complete documentation of maintenance activities.
• Act as the main client contact, update clients on progress, and prepare project reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in project engineering or maintenance engineering, preferably in building maintenance or facilities management.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
