Project Manager - Enterprise Software

About the role

The Project Manager plans and oversees enterprise software projects from kick-off to go-live, including initiation, scoping, planning and closure with lessons learned, delivered directly to customers. The role is hands-on, hybrid and based in Dubai, with responsibility for project delivery, customer expectations and stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate new implementation projects and client upgrades, including project plans and Gantt charts, progress reporting and risk and issue management
• Identify and assign project resources, hold regular status meetings with customers and stakeholders, and manage scope changes and charges
• Ensure project legal documents are completed and signed, and take full responsibility for project signoff
• Forecast revenue and utilization, manage the project budget, determine revenue recognition, invoice accurately and monitor receivables
• Analyse project profitability, bill rates and utilization, and track team hours and expenses weekly
• Build lasting client relationships, set and manage client expectations, and communicate needs and alternative solutions

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Software Development, Project Management or IT, or equivalent experience, preferably in the transport sector
• At least 5 years of project management experience in software development, service delivery or similar, with a proven track record of people management in an IT services environment
• Experience with client engagements and technical projects at a high level
• Strong financial and commercial skills, including budget management and basic revenue models, P/L and cost-to-complete projections
• Experience with government clients is advantageous; experience delivering mobility-related projects for government agencies is a plus

Required skills

• Demonstrable knowledge of project management methodologies and a disciplined process approach
• Understanding of software applications, database organization and system design
• Ability to translate customer requirements into functional and technical specifications

Occasional overseas travel may be involved, in economy class. The position is open to regular workers.
