Project Manager – FEED & Detail Engineering

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead FEED and detail engineering projects for the oil & gas sector in Abu Dhabi. The role provides strategic leadership and executive oversight across scope, schedule, cost, risk and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Define project vision, objectives and execution strategies for complex FEED/detail projects.
• Develop and approve baselines, change control processes and risk management frameworks.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary, multi‑site teams and ensure effective interfaces among process, mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, instrumentation and reliability disciplines.
• Oversee procurement strategies, contract management and vendor oversight.
• Monitor performance metrics, prepare executive‑level reporting and communicate status to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulations and HSE requirements.
• Support field activities during construction, commissioning and start‑up, and oversee handover documentation.

Required profile

• 20‑25+ years of experience in FEED, detail engineering and EPCM within the oil & gas industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; PMP, AACE or PMI‑RMP certifications are a plus.
• Proven leadership delivering large‑scale projects and effective project controls.

Required skills

• Project management methodologies and tools (P6, MS Project, earned value management).
• Procurement, contract and risk management.
• Interface and change control management (MOC).
• Knowledge of oil & gas codes and standards.
