Project Manager - Reciprocating Compressors (BCAD)

About the role

Burckhardt Compression is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its SYST Division in Dubai, UAE, and lead the execution of complex reciprocating compressor projects across the Middle East. The role manages international stakeholders and balances technical and commercial priorities, covering delivery from contract award through commissioning and final handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead reciprocating compressor package projects from order intake to final handover, meeting contractual, technical, schedule, quality and financial targets.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and resource plans, and monitor performance with corrective actions.
• Act as main customer contact, lead review meetings and progress updates, and manage scope, variations, claims and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across countries and time zones, and manage interfaces between engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, logistics and field service.
• Manage project risks, protect profitability through commercial management and change control, and support invoicing, cash collection and financial forecasting.
• Oversee procurement, monitor manufacturing progress, coordinate inspections, factory acceptance tests and shipment readiness, and ensure quality and safety compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or process engineering or similar.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar business; MBA or PMP certification is an advantage.
• Fluent English, oral and written at business and contractual level.
• Able to travel up to 30% of the time, domestically and internationally.
• Team player, quality oriented, highly motivated and self-driven.

Required skills

• Knowledge of rotating equipment and related processes is beneficial.
• Ability to handle application-oriented tasks, including studying relevant literature.
