Project Manager – RTU & Communications (Turnkey Business)

About the role

Siemens is looking for a Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of substation and utility automation projects in the UAE. The focus is on Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) systems, communication networks and DMS/ADMS integration for key customers such as TAQA Distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver RTU, communications and DMS/ADMS integration projects from kickoff through handover and warranty.
• Own project P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and cash‑flow support.
• Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk in line with PMP and Siemens PM@S standards.
• Coordinate RTU integration to DMS/ADMS, ensuring communications readiness and interface alignment.
• Govern RTU communications activities, including fiber optics, wireless links and redundancy concepts.
• Negotiate with suppliers, manage procurement and track claims, variations and progress documentation.
• Serve as primary interface with TAQA, EPCs and subcontractors, driving issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with quality, EHS, cybersecurity and regulatory requirements for utility OT environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Communication Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in utility automation, turnkey or EPC projects (UAE preferred).
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of RTU systems and utility communication media.
• Experience with substation testing, interfaces and operational readiness.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders including customers, EPCs and internal teams.
• Fluency in English; TAQA approved Project Manager preferred.
