Project Supervisor - Fit Out & Residential Construction

About the role

Careers International is seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Supervisor to oversee fit out and residential construction projects from inception to completion. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope and in line with quality and safety standards, and calls for strong leadership, technical expertise and knowledge of residential and fit out construction processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and budgets, and supervise day-to-day on-site construction to keep work aligned with timelines and specifications.
• Monitor and manage labour, materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and on-site personnel, give clear instructions and resolve on-site issues quickly to avoid delays.
• Ensure work meets quality standards, client specifications and regulatory requirements, and carry out regular inspections to find and fix defects.
• Enforce safety protocols and regulations, run safety meetings and ensure PPE is used on site.
• Keep clients informed on progress, milestones and challenges, and work with architects, engineers and designers on design changes and technical issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience of 5+ years supervising fit out and residential construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and standards.
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Required skills

• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
