Public Area Attendant

About the role

Sofitel Dubai Downtown, a 5-star luxury hotel in the heart of Downtown Dubai near The Dubai Mall, is hiring a Public Area Attendant. The role covers cleaning and maintenance of all public areas, from lobbies and entrances to guest restrooms and outdoor spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Dust high and low, sweep, vacuum, mop, polish and deep clean all assigned public areas (lobbies, entrances, hallways, stairwells and offices).
• Clean, sanitize and restock guest public restrooms throughout the day, keeping consistent cleanliness and scent management.
• Maintain floor care, including carpet shampooing, marble and tile polishing, waxing and buffing with specialized floor care machinery.
• Clean glass surfaces, mirrors, windows, brass, chrome and wooden fixtures to a spotless finish.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins in public and back-of-house areas, ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling segregation.
• Keep outdoor guest areas such as entrance drop-off zones, patios, pool decks and terraces free of litter and up to hotel standards.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in the position.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management.
