Public Relations Officer (PRO)

About the role

Careers International is looking for a highly experienced and resourceful Public Relations Officer (PRO) to join its team in Dubai. The PRO manages and executes all government-related processes for a group of companies in the construction, engineering and HR consultancy sectors, covering visa applications, license renewals, labour and immigration formalities and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage visa applications (new employment, renewal and cancellation of residence, employment and dependent visas)
• Handle Emirates ID registration, medical testing and labour contracts through MOHRE, and keep employee and company legal records up to date
• Liaise directly with government departments such as GDRFA, MOHRE, DED, DHA, DM, Dubai Police, ICP and Civil Defence, submitting applications via Tasheel, Amer, ICP and E-Channel
• Manage trade license renewals, chamber of commerce certificates, tenancy contracts and establishment cards, and draft, translate and manage Arabic/English official letters and NOCs
• Prepare board resolutions, attestations and legal translations accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with UAE labour laws, immigration policies and company policies, and track expiration dates of licenses and documents
• Inform internal teams about regulation changes and represent the company at ministries, immigration offices and courts when required
• Maintain relationships with typing centres, government agents and regulatory officials, and support audits and inspections

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a PRO in the UAE (Dubai-specific experience highly preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of UAE labour, visa and immigration laws
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic is a plus
• Reliable, detail-oriented and highly organised
• Valid UAE driving licence
