Pump Technician – Mechanical Maintenance

About the role

The Pump Technician will maintain, repair, and install a variety of pump systems essential for fluid transfer across industrial, water treatment, and oil & gas operations. You will work with centrifugal, positive displacement, and submersible pumps, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pump systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on malfunctioning pumps.
• Install new pump systems, including piping and related components.
• Calibrate and test pumps to meet performance standards.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on complex problems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Provide on‑site technical support to pump operators.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues in pump control systems.
• Recommend upgrades and modifications for efficiency.
• Assist in training junior technicians.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience with pump systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to safety.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
• Willingness to work in diverse environments.
