Purchase Executive - Plastic Manufacturing

About the role

Careers International is looking for a dedicated and experienced Purchase Executive to join its team in the plastic manufacturing industry. The role covers the procurement of raw materials, goods and services needed for production, with a focus on timely delivery and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Procurement management: oversee the purchase of raw materials, components and supplies such as polymers, additives and resins, and keep a supplier and vendor database accurate and up to date.
• Purchase orders: prepare and process purchase orders according to production needs and inventory levels, and coordinate with suppliers to avoid production delays.
• Vendor management: build strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contract terms and pricing.
• Inventory control: monitor stock levels, work with the inventory team and with production teams to forecast material requirements and plan procurement.
• Compliance and documentation: ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the plastic or manufacturing industry.
• Experience with raw materials such as plastics, resins, polymers and additives is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build supplier relationships.
• Good understanding of procurement processes and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of procurement software or ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) is preferred.
