Purchase Officer

About the role

NAFFCO is looking for an experienced Purchase Officer to manage end‑to‑end procurement for its manufacturing, automotive, steel and HVAC operations. The successful candidate will source, negotiate and secure materials, equipment and services while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full‑cycle procurement of raw materials, spare parts, equipment and consumables.
• Source and qualify suppliers for steel, automotive components, HVAC materials, and mechanical/electrical items.
• Obtain quotations, evaluate offers and negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and follow up with vendors to ensure on‑time fulfillment.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and project teams to understand material requirements.
• Maintain and update the supplier database while developing new vendor relationships.
• Monitor stock levels in coordination with store/warehouse teams.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and approval procedures.
• Manage import purchases when required and coordinate logistics.
• Prepare procurement reports and cost‑comparison statements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience as a Purchase/Procurement Officer.
• Mandatory experience in manufacturing, automotive, steel or HVAC industries.
• Strong negotiation and vendor‑management capabilities.
• Ability to join immediately or with short notice.
