About the role

The Purchaser will support Al Rostamani Group’s Emirates Electrical Engineering division by managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for high‑voltage, low‑voltage, solar and energy‑saving projects. The role ensures optimal pricing, timely delivery, and compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior purchasing staff in sourcing and procuring materials, equipment hire, labour hire, sub‑contracts and services according to company policies.
• Obtain, review and compare supplier quotes, place orders and monitor delivery schedules to meet site requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchase and inventory records, and monitor supplier performance for quality and timeliness.
• Collaborate with divisional, project and site managers to understand material needs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Develop and sustain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to improve the purchasing experience.

Required profile

• Graduation in Commerce or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering; supply‑chain certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of project‑materials purchasing experience in an electrical contracting environment dealing with high‑voltage, low‑voltage, solar and energy‑saving projects.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly the MM module; SAP knowledge is a plus.
