Purchasing Manager – Pre-Opening Hotel

About the role

The pre‑opening hotel in Sharjah is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement function, ensuring the right goods and services are available at the right time, cost and quality to support all hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the purchasing function, managing the end‑to‑end procurement process from requisition to purchase order.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best value, quality and service.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock takes and ensure proper storage to minimise waste.
• Review supplier performance, negotiate contracts and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, local regulations and ethical procurement standards.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand material requirements and guarantee timely availability.
• Analyse market trends, pricing and product availability to support informed decisions.
• Prepare procurement reports, analyse data and recommend process improvements.
• Support budget management by tracking purchasing expenses.
• Maintain accurate records, contracts and documentation for audit purposes.
• Lead, coach and develop the purchasing team, fostering a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Strong negotiation and vendor‑relationship management skills.
• Ability to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Analytical mindset with experience preparing reports and managing budgets.
• Leadership experience, capable of coaching and developing a team.
