QA/QC Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer will ensure that all electrical and instrumentation (E&I) construction and installation activities meet ADNOC requirements, project specifications, and international standards. You will develop and manage inspection and test documentation while coordinating closely with client and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), records (ITRs), requests (IRs) and quality checklists.
• Monitor site activities for compliance with approved procedures, specifications and quality requirements.
• Identify, raise, track and close Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and verify corrective actions.
• Conduct material receiving inspections and verify against approved submittals and standards.
• Inspect electrical installations, including cable trays, ladders, LV/MV panels, switchgear, lighting, small power systems, junction boxes, earthing/grounding, lightning protection and cathodic protection.
• Inspect instrumentation installations, control valves, tubing, impulse lines, cabling, glanding, termination and calibration documentation.
• Witness and review testing activities such as insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, functional, loop checking, pre‑commissioning and commissioning.
• Review engineering documents (P&IDs, drawings, datasheets) and ensure accurate as‑built records.
• Coordinate preparation of the Final Quality Dossier and project hand‑over documentation.

Required skills

• Electrical inspection (cable trays, LV/MV panels, switchgear, lighting, earthing, lightning protection)
• Instrumentation inspection (control valves, tubing, impulse lines, cabling, calibration)
• Testing methods (insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, functional testing)
• Knowledge of ADNOC requirements and international standards for E&I works
• Preparation and management of ITPs, ITRs, NCRs and quality documentation
