QA/QC Engineer

About the role

GHD is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support its construction projects across the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on ensuring that all works meet the required quality standards and contractual obligations while supporting the broader project team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect sites before construction activities commence.
• Review contractors' quality and testing submissions for contract compliance.
• Attend and contribute to contractors' QA/QC meetings.
• Assist in reviewing and updating the Quality Management System.
• Conduct training on quality procedures.
• Report on quality performance at construction meetings.
• Coordinate with the client’s QA/QC representative and address feedback.
• Action and close all complaints and non‑conformances.
• Issue guidance to engineering staff to ensure effective handling of quality issues.
• Produce and execute a QA/QC audit schedule for contractors, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Verify that all works are performed in accordance with approved procedures and maintain up‑to‑date quality records.
• Review contractors' monthly QA/QC reports and submittals from a quality perspective.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month experience in QA/QC within construction or engineering projects.
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate with contractors, clients and internal engineering teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established quality procedures.
