QAQC Engineer

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a full-time QAQC Engineer in Dubai within the construction sector. The role covers quality assurance and quality control on site, including inspections, documentation and coordination with the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project-specific QA/QC plan and procedures, ensuring work meets internal standards, project specifications and relevant codes
• Conduct internal audits and inspections, identify non-conformities and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken
• Inspect incoming materials against approved submittals and review and approve method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs) and quality documents
• Supervise and carry out inspections during fabrication, installation and finishing, and coordinate third-party inspections and testing
• Maintain inspection records, test results and quality reports, and prepare daily and weekly QA/QC reports for the Project Manager
• Keep QA/QC documents up to date in line with ISO standards
• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors and consultants on quality issues, support the resolution of technical issues, and attend quality meetings and site progress reviews

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer, preferably in the aluminium, glass or façade industry
• In-depth knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ISO standards and construction codes
• Familiarity with façade systems such as curtain walls, cladding, structural glazing and ACP
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented and proactive problem solver

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and quality reporting tools
• Knowledge of fabrication and installation processes is a strong advantage
