QA/QC Engineer – Oilfield Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled QA/QC Engineer to join a leading oilfield equipment organization in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that all products, materials, manufacturing processes and inspections meet company quality standards, client specifications and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain QA and QC systems, procedures and inspection plans.
• Perform inspections, testing and audits to verify compliance with engineering specifications, project requirements and industry standards.
• Review engineering drawings, blueprints, material specifications and manufacturing documents.
• Monitor production processes and conduct in‑process and final inspections.
• Identify non‑conformities, conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality documentation, test records and material traceability documents.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, engineering and project teams to resolve quality‑related issues.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, safety requirements and international quality standards.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven QA/QC experience in oilfield equipment, mechanical manufacturing, fabrication or heavy engineering.
• Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, machining and manufacturing quality processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, blueprints and technical specifications.
• Hands‑on experience with inspection instruments, measuring equipment and testing procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• API certification (mandatory).
• ASME, ISO 9001, NDT Level II, CSWIP or AWS certifications (advantageous).
• Welding, fabrication and machining expertise.
• Inspection instruments and measuring equipment proficiency.
• Testing procedures and quality management systems knowledge.
• Inspection methodologies and documentation practices.
