QA/QC Inspector

About the role

The QA/QC Inspector ensures that construction, fabrication, installation and maintenance activities meet project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards and relevant codes. The role involves on‑site inspections, documentation and coordination with engineers, subcontractors and third‑party agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect materials, workmanship and completed works for compliance with specifications, drawings, method statements and QA/QC standards.
• Monitor site activities to verify that construction follows approved quality procedures and client requirements.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, checklists, material inspection reports, test certificates and NCR documentation.
• Witness and verify site inspections, testing activities and coordinate with laboratories and external inspection agencies.
• Identify quality issues, raise Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Collaborate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, consultants and clients to ensure timely inspections and quality compliance.
• Participate in quality meetings, provide inspection updates and support project teams in resolving quality‑related issues.
• Ensure adherence to the project Quality Management System, HSE requirements, applicable codes, standards and client specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience as a QA/QC Inspector in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas or industrial projects.
• Relevant QA/QC certifications are preferred.
• Experience with client inspections and quality documentation is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, standards and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
