QA/QC Officer – Food Production

About the role

PrepHero is looking for a proactive QA/QC Officer to ensure food safety, hygiene, and product quality in its high‑volume central kitchen. You will work closely with the Production Lead and kitchen staff to keep operations safe, consistent, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Conduct daily kitchen inspections, hygiene audits, and verify temperature and cooling logs.
• Maintain cleaning schedules, personal hygiene compliance, and food‑handling procedures.
• Perform routine quality checks on ingredients, preparation processes, and finished meals; investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare for municipality, HACCP, and internal audits; keep all food‑safety records up to date.
• Support production planning by preparing daily production sheets, recipe cards, and purchase requisitions.
• Coordinate with stores and purchasing to ensure ingredient availability.
• Track production progress, report delays or shortages, and maintain operational reports.
• Conduct opening and closing kitchen inspections, monitor equipment sanitation, and follow up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• HACCP certification or equivalent food‑safety qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in catering, meal‑plan services, central kitchen, airline or hospital catering, or food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Experience conducting food‑safety inspections and audits.
• Good written and spoken English.
