QC Engineer – Welding

About the role

The QC Engineer – Welding will plan, control and perform quality inspections for welding activities on capital projects, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and ITP matrices for welding disciplines.
• Distribute tasks to inspectors, conduct audits, and manage non‑conformance reports (NCRs) with clients.
• Implement quality training, risk management, and corrective actions across construction and quality staff.
• Maintain quality documentation, procedures, and performance indicators using FMCS and SCMS tools.

Required profile

• 15+ years of inspection experience on capital projects in oil/gas, petrochemical or power plant sectors.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS) and NDT techniques.
• Certification in NDT Level II or higher and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
• Leadership, team management and excellent communication skills.
