Quality Control Inspector

About the role

The Quality Control Inspector ensures that incoming gas turbine component sets meet all dimensional, visual, and documentation requirements. This role supports the entire repair cycle by performing in‑process and final inspections, helping to maintain safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in‑process and final inspections on gas turbine components according to approved drawings, work instructions and specifications.
• Verify dimensional, visual and documentation compliance before release.
• Identify, document and control non‑conformances; escalate issues affecting SQDC.
• Partner with production, engineering and planning teams to support daily execution and workflow within the Gas Turbine Cell.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, traceability and quality documentation.
• Ensure inspection tools and gauges are calibrated and fit for use.
• Participate in daily operations reviews, problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement activities.
• Follow all EHS and compliance requirements across the repair facility.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of gas turbine inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to GE Vernova Life Saving Rules and site safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Use of standard measuring and inspection tools.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Knowledge of non‑conformance processes.
• Calibration of inspection tools and gauges.
