Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure Projects

About the role

AECOM is looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in infrastructure projects. The role covers surveying, cost management, contract administration and project close-out, and suits someone who can work independently with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Land and site surveys with modern instruments, including boundary verification from legal records and review of distances, angles and elevations
• Prepare and verify survey reports, maps and drawings, and manage land information systems
• Pre-contract: cost plans, budgets and feasibility studies, quantity take-offs and CESMM-based BoQs, tender documents and bid evaluation
• Post-contract: administer FIDIC contracts, monitor costs and cash flow, evaluate and negotiate variations, claims and payments, and lead commercial negotiations
• Close out: final accounts, TOC and DLP processes, Defects Liability Certificates and full contractual and financial closure

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of quantity surveying experience
• Strong experience in infrastructure and utility projects such as STP and DM, stormwater networks, irrigation and sewage/drainage connections
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering (preferred)
• Experience on large-scale infrastructure/utility projects in urban environments and ability to manage several projects at once

Required skills

• CESMM standards and CESMM-based BoQs
• FIDIC and similar contract conditions
• Quantity take-offs, estimation, tendering, claims evaluation and negotiation
• QS software and advanced MS Excel
• Commercial, analytical and negotiation skills, with strong communication and attention to detail
