Quantity Surveyor – Post Contract

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced post‑contract Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will provide expert cost management and consultancy services for a variety of construction projects across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage post‑contract commercial activities on developer‑led projects from award to final account.
• Monitor and control project costs, including cost‑to‑complete and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Assess, negotiate, and agree variations, claims, and change events.
• Prepare monthly cost reports for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Identify and manage commercial and cost risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead negotiations with contractors and suppliers to achieve best value.
• Administer interim payments, valuations, and final accounts.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, consultants, and site teams to support project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., RICS, AACE) is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying or cost consultancy, with proven experience in the Middle East.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software (CostX) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of construction industry standards, practices and current market rates.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English and experience on building projects with local developers.
