About the role

Royal Women's Hospital Abu Dhabi is recruiting a Radiographer. The role involves assessing patients, interpreting clinical needs and carrying out a range of radiographic examinations to produce high-quality images, while working closely with patients and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients and interpret clinical requirements to choose the appropriate radiographic techniques.
• Perform radiographic examinations and maintain contact with patients during and after the exam.
• Assist in complex examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist and Chief Radiographer.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, sharing specialist knowledge and expertise.
• Prioritise and manage workload, and help senior staff plan efficient workflow.
• Position patients safely and adapt techniques for disability, illness or trauma.
• Record imaging identification and patient data accurately and comply with the Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality.
• Learn new techniques and technologies and take part in annual performance appraisals.
• Supervise assistant practitioners and other staff and deliver training.

Required profile

• Valid DOH Radiographer license or eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology / Medical Imaging.
• Relevant clinical experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Knowledge of radiation protection and patient safety.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR) systems.
• PACS and RIS systems.
• Anatomy and radiographic techniques, image quality assessment, patient positioning and infection control.
